We're working on our Christmas issues at Papercraft HQ, but we don't want to keep all this festive excitement to ourselves! We gave you a fab free Christmas candy cane bonus card a few weeks ago, and now we've got another one! This cute Christmas cupcake card is perfect for those of you with lots of Christmas cards to make, and it can even be adapted into a birthday card for a friend with a sweet tooth! Find simple step-by-step instructions and a template for this design below.

Step 1
Cover the card blank in dark green card. Cut a slightly smaller piece of light green card and glue it to the card front leaving a border all around. Cut a panel of green spotty paper and fix it to the card.
Step 2
To make the cupcake, cut a rectangle of multi-coloured spotty paper. Score the paper in 1cm increments and concertina it. Glue the cupcake to the card front.
Step 3
Using the template provided, cut the cupcake's frosting from white card. Place it above the cupcake, supported by sticky foam pads.
Step 4
To make the holly leaves, handcut the leaf shapes from light green card. Shade half of the leaf with a green ProMarker and arrange them on a sheet of pink card. When dry, cut around the shapes to leave a pink border and stick on little handcut dark pink berries.
Step 5
To finish, add the bow embellishment to the cupcake and attach the sentiment with sticky foam pads.
