Knit a blanket for Refuge

Are you a knitter? If so, you can help our sister magazines Simply Knitting and The Knitter raise money for charity!

Simply Knitting and The Knitter have nominated domestic violence charity Refuge as their charity of the year. You can help bring some comfort to the women and children in refuges by joining in with the Comfort Blanket campaign. Knitters from all over the country will be getting together to knit blankets, which will be given to women and children staying in refuges. Often, when people arrive at the refuges they have nothing but the clothes they’re standing in – to be given a warm, cosy blanket as well means so much. To find out more and get involved, visit the Simply Knitting website and check out the guidelines for making your blankets. Refuge have already received 16 blankets – the target is 100 by the end of the year! Click here to find out more about Refuge's work
