We can't resist the cute Mozpoz & Friends dragon on this card! The cool leaf and brick wall background effects are created using masks, alcohol inks and PanPastels.
Fancy giving PanPastels a go? You'll find all you need including the step-by-step instructions for this card below. You can also find Brenda Brown's vintage-themed card from the PanPastel Masterclass on our blog here.
You will need your basic card kit plus…
✿ Scalloped 8x8in card blank
✿ Glossy white card
✿ PanPastels – Burnt Sienna, Black, Chromium Oxide Green, White, Hansa Yellow, Red Iron Oxide, Magenta & Sofft tools, from Your Creativity Store
✿ That Special Touch Mica Mask - Brick, from Clevercut
✿ Perfect Medium clear stamp pad – Perfect Pearls, from We Heart Craft
✿ Adirondack alcohol inks – Lake Mist, Willow, Lemonade, Sunshine Yellow & Gold Mixative, from Craft Superstore
✿ Spellbinders Grand Impressabilities – Fall Splendor, from Icon UK
✿ Mozpoz & Friends digi stamp – 2 (Dragon), from LEJ Designs
✿ Memory Box corner die – Madera, from The Stamp Basket
✿ Shapeabilities dies – Grommet tags, available from The Craft Barn
✿ Fixative, black & white gel pens, scraps of paper, material scraps, green gems, buttons & sticky foam pads
Lay the Spellbinders Fall Splendor mask on top of the glossy side of a sheet of glossy white paper and press the Perfect Medium pad through the holes.
Remove the mask and apply a thick coat of Black PanPastel to the entire page using a Sofft tools sponge. The PanPastel will only stick to the areas with Perfect Medium. Dab alcohol inks on top of the PanPastel colouring.
Put the Brick Mica mask over another sheet of glossy white paper and press the Perfect Medium pad through the mask. Remove the mask and colour using Burnt Sienna and Black PanPastels.
Print out the Mozpoz & Friends digi stamp dragon and colour in using Burnt Sienna, Chromium Oxide Green, Hansa Yellow, White and Red Iron Oxide PanPastels. Blend Megenta, Hansa Yellow and White for the dragon’s tongue and add highlights to the card using gel pens.
Spray the PanPastel layers with fixative and then layer up the card using glue and sticky foam pads.
