Say hello with this smiley crab card. It’s easy to make with the free template below, and it's sure to be a hit with kids during the summer hols!

You will need

Your basic card kit, plus...

Blue card blank

Green, pink, yellow & white card

Pink, blue & purple patterned papers

Seed beads

Black fineliner pen

Small circle punch

Step 1

Cut a wavy strip of yellow card and attach it to a piece of blue patterned paper with sticky foam pads. Stick this to the front of your blue card blank.

Step 2

Cut the shell and starfish shapes from card using your free template. Add some seed beads with drops of PVA glue. Fix the shell and starfish to the card front with sticky foam pads.

Step 3

Use the template to cut out pink shapes for the crab. Layer the pieces on to your card front using more sticky foam pads.

Step 4

Punch small white circles for the eyes then draw black centres on each one. Doodle a smiley mouth to finish the design.

Tip

For added character, give your crab some googly eyes!
