Last night I made three 'new home' cards (as a my friends and family are enjoying a frenzy of house moving and packing/unpacking this month!)
)
While adding brad 'door handles' to each house motif I was making, I realised that age old card maker's problem with brads – their prongs aren't sharp enough to pierce through thick card or several layers of card!
After much scratching my head, the solution struck me - pierce holes first with a Paper Piercer tool! If the card you're piercing is especially tricky to pierce, even with the tool, nab a thin needle from your sewing kit and pierce a starter hole first with that (as it's thinner, it will pierce the card more easily). Now insert the thicker Paper Piercer through the small hole to make room for your brad prongs!
If you fancy trying this tip, you can treat your stash to a Paper Piercer for just £1.99 here
Happy card making! Zoe x
